was it a bad idea to buy someone a refurbished kindle for xmas?
i just bought it on ebay … but i didnt know it was refurbished … i was dumb and didnt read thru the listing .. now its too late.
is that a really bad to do this ?

No worry. I have two friends getting a refurbished Kindle, and it just works exactly like my new Kindle… Yes, just tell he / she that it is refurbished, Amazon gives the same warranty to it like new Kindle.
However, next time be aware of eBay sellers. I know quite a lot of sellers are selling refurbished version on eBay and gain profit, and they just buy it from Amazon. To be save, just get it off from Amazon, I think they are of similar price as you can see in the offer list:
