Browse Happy Readers Big Book Flood

Cathy Macleod, 31 January 2009:
One could write a book, and it is likely that someone, on pain and the drama that is unfolding now in the world of books. The question is has anyone read it?

The answer is yes, yes, a million times yes! There will always be readers of books, the search for knowledge or entertainment. Readers have been around since the first humans scrawled on walls the cave. Only the method has changed and is changing still.

Rock pecked progressed scratches on palm leaves, engraved tablets clay, and then writing on animal skins, vellum and paper rolls, and let's not forget the press and the joy of bound volumes. Readers were provided there to absorb the product, however created. Today, we are all in a blink digital dawn. When the dismissed editors, publishers and disappearing bankruptcy booksellers pen his memoirs, these probably are distributed on the screen.

With a rising cost of paper, printing and premises, is simple economics published on the Web. The output is immediately available to readers at home or office. Business and academia have long adopted the screen, and readers pleased they are doing now, maybe slowly, but statistics say that without doubt.

Dedicated professional ebook retailers have emerged to serve the growing market. Despite a global trauma press publishers and bookstores, the world is awash in books like never before. The Internet, in fact, offers a great flood of them, an endless ocean.

Some direct selling authors, publishers and bookchains too, and many newspapers these days own an online bookstore. Navigating the flood is simple if you stick to trusted sites. You'll find these are easy navigation, free samples rapid and secure online shopping.

Do not own an electronic reading device? Use what you have, whether desktop, laptop, PDA or handheld marvel. I use my laptop, which increased the reading experience by downloading the Mobipocket Reader. My book of navigation in different sites is extensive. Physically I could never be replicated, even in an exclusive High Street in the bookstores. The widest choice of books on the Internet, and its lowest in digital format, makes this an enjoyable activity.

Anybody know where I can buy an electronic book reader? Or any good brands.?

I am looking for a decent sized screen. I do not want to buy PDA and have to move every 10 seconds because I finished reading the text of which can show 3 inches. It will only be used to read ebooks. Thank you.

I've been looking for something like that too, and I found Sony Reader to be the best option. Check out the page to see its features. Ink technology that makes you feel like reading paper. There is also a link on the page where you can buy from.
